MARCO SCANNONE
Director, Finance and Mortgage Broker
Marco has helped his clients achieve their homeownership and investment goals for almost a decade, thanks to his specialist mortgage broking services and financial advice. His journey started in 2006 with a successful property portfolio under his belt and a wealth of knowledge around the confusing world of home loans and mortgages. Now, he’s built Stars Broking Services on the foundations of open communication, honest advice and a proven process that gives clients the confidence of having an expert in their corner.
Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor of Business (Communication Sciences), Diploma in Finance (Mortgage Broking), leadership, team development, listening to and understanding his clients’ goals.
Hobbies: When he’s not working hard for his clients, Marco is usually found outdoors, as he loves anything from skiing to hiking and running (whether that be up a mountain or running around after his four busy boys). Marco’s also a keen traveller and has some great recommendations for family dinner spots.
Allan Shostak
Credit Analyst
As an experienced professional in the areas of banking and finance, Allan has the knowledge and expertise to support our clients with confident, well-informed credit decisions. He has spent many years working with major banks such as Westpac, La Trobe and Me bank, bringing a strong understanding of complex credit applications and documentation. Allan is known for being thorough, highly analytical, and exceptionally well prepared, ensuring each application is carefully assessed and handled with precision. He is also approachable and easy to work with, making him a valued member of our team.
Skills and qualifications: Prior to joining our team, Allan worked as a Credit Analyst with major Australian banks, gaining extensive experience in assessing and managing complex lending scenarios.
Hobbies: In his spare time, Allan enjoys hitting the gym and unwinding by watching movies.
Kristy Grasso
Settlements Officer
An enthusiastic team player, Kristy’s determination and organisational skills make her invaluable to the Stars Broking team. She has exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects, ensuring our clients always receive excellent service. Kristy’s efficient and personable manner makes her perfect for managing relationships with banks. Kristy’s experience spans from corporate sales to business development and marketing communication, and she has spent time working with top-tier law firms.
Skills and qualifications: Organisation, communication, efficiency, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise to increase output.
Hobbies: Outside the office, Kristy loves spending time with her friends and family, cuddling up to her Tonkinese cat, listening to podcasts or relaxing at the beach. She’s also an avid traveller naming Italy her favourite country to explore.
Blesy Ching
Loan Writer
Blesy brings a positive, can-do attitude and a genuine passion for her work in the mortgage broking space. With over three years of hands-on experience supporting clients and brokers and a background in Management Accounting, she’s confident handling mortgage applications, documentation, and systems with care and efficiency. Blesy is highly organised, and known for her clear communication and ability to adapt seamlessly to new processes, making her a trusted support for both clients and the team.
Skills and qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Management Accounting, with strong experience in mortgage application processing, CRM and broker platforms, lender communication, and document management within the Australian mortgage industry.
Hobbies: Outside of work, Blesy loves getting lost in a good fiction book, swimming, spending time with dogs, and unwinding with movies or Netflix.
